Hey everyone. I am new to this forum and fairly new to rugby. I have a 16 year old son that plays and I have been interested for some time so this year I joined a local Div. II team and I am loving it. I have been involved in powerlifting for years and am pretty strong compared to most of the players on the team however my conditioning is terrible(although it is getting better with our practice sessions). I have a question about how to train in season. I have read the 3 Day A Week Program and it looks solid but due to having two high school boys who both play football AND soccer this season and my Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday practices or games, I find I am very short on time to keep up with strength training. I can generally get in two sessions a week in the gym. I have a home gym that is far better equipped than most of the local commercial gyms. I normally train in the gym on Sundays and Wednesdays. It’s almost always a Sunday but the second day of the week varies sometimes due to schedule conflicts. I did a search in the articles section for in season programs but the only thing I found had a short article with a chart but only the top haf of the page was displayed. If anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
