GuestHeres a link to a PDF of Rippetoe and Kilgore’s ‘Basic Strength Standards’:
http://www.crossfit.com/cf-journal/WLSTANDARDS.pdf
I train by myself at home, so I find this sheet to be good motivation for my goals etc.
– Was interested to hear some thoughts on this? Are the target weights to low or too high etc.

GuestFirst off I would say that they are just that targets, I would have players that are on the money for most of those but also some that are a ways off achieving others, I am assuming also that they are 1RM loads, these charts are useful to get an idea of what others think are elite, I would compare them with the powerlifting and olympic lifting charts that are available to show you what is acceptable to qualify as Elite or a C grade lifter and all between, please do not get too locked into these numbers, just lift and get stronger over time and enjoy the process and the voyage of discovery about yourself and how your body repsonds to different methods, cheers, ash
