GuestOff Season volume strength loading can be achieved by using the same rep structure that we use in season but instead of adding a second heaviest set you would perform a second wave through the rep structure and add approximately 2.5 – 5 kg to each set or whatever you as a coach feel is appropriate, for example the in season 3 week loading cycle we currently use is, with a small increase on the second heaviest set of the session:
Week 1 – 6,5,4,4
Week 2 – 5,4,3,3
Week 3 – 4,3,2,2
So in off season I am suggesting you try the following:
Week 1 – 6,5,4 6,5,4
Week 2 – 5,4,3 5,4,3
Week 3 – 4,3,2 4,3,2
