It is a fantastic movement for thoracic mobilisation and a great core movement as everything is challenged to maintain posture, I use it as a down week movement as you can use around 40 – 60 per cent of what you can back squat, also a great technique movement for the receiving position for the snatch as well, hasten very slowly, empty bar or wooden stick is your starting point, ash
