    Name: Mike McGurn

    Profession Strength and Conditioning Coach

    Team Ospreys

Greatest achievements as a trainer ; Winning Challenge Cup, Super League and World Club Championship with St Helens Rugby League Club

Years in the Industry 14 with Professional Teams

What strength coach or trainer has had the most impact on you and why?
Ashley Jones, not only a friend but a great mentor who makes conditioning simple but effective.

What are the positives of being a Strength and Conditioning Coach / Trainer? You get to work with driven athletes and get to be part of top flight competition and travel

    What are the negatives?
Sometimes you feel like you have 43 children ?

What advice would you have for those wishing to become a part of the industry? Try and distinguish between all the bullshit and the good stuff

What is your favorite exercise? Deadlifts / Deep squats

Favorite piece of equipment you have in your gym?
    Power rack

If you could change one thing what would it be?

S C coaches need to praise each other more rather than some of the petty jealousy that you hear spewed about each other
