Hi there just a few ideas we are playing with at the present as pre weight training warm ups:

    Upper Body

perform 1 set of 12 reps on each:

DB Scarecrow, DB Cuban Press, Overhead Shrug, YTI`s (counts as 3 exercises), DB `L` raise, DB Bentover Raise, DB Front Raise, DB Lateral Raise, DB empty can raise, Plate Head circles

    Lower Body

Skipping 30 seconds, Kettle Bell swings 30 seconds, rest 30 seconds repeat x 5

    Hurdles – unders and overs 2 x 10, forwards and backwards 2 x 10

each warm up routine will take around 10 minutes, cheers, ash

    ash,

Sorry but just need to ask a couple of things mate, are the upper body exercises completed in superset fashion? what is YTI? On the kettle bell swings could a weighted plate be used as an alternative?

    Thanks for your help.

Sure thing Lloydy, no worries, yes indeed that is how I use the upper body warm up movements with a very short rest in between each movement, the YTI`s are done on a prone bench pull bench if you have access to one or anyways you can keep your chest on your knees and have a full range for the DB`s to travel the path of the DB`s just mimics the capital letters Y, T & I, slow and controlled, as for the KB swings you can use a weight plate or a DB instead, cheers, ash
