Poundages on lifts are extremely impressive- and also I’m glad to hear that with his age his Conditioning Programme has to be a flexible beast depending upon how he feels. After all, if you’re not recovering, you’re not going to progress.
At nearly 32 I find myself, reluctantly I admit, finding that I must train more instinctively and be prepared to change on the day!
I also find the premise of “Basics with enthusiasm” very empowering as I feel I’ve been preaching it to the young guys coming through the club without much success.
At the end of the day “The Strongest Shall Survive”- never a truer word spoken.
