Hey When the coaches on here reccomend something like 4×6 or 3×10 is that ramping up to a max weight, 60×6 70×6 80×6 90×6, or is it straight weight , 4×6 @ 80kg, Do any coaches use one method exclusively if not when is each methods appropriate
Personally I will always specify the loading parameters in the program.
We use individual targets for each session based on previous testing results.
I have had a number of discussions with colleagues regarding the efficacy of testing, but in our setting, we get athletes into the academy environment that we have no history with, so testing results become very important to be able to prescribe appropriately from the get go. AK
