Clean start-Audit time By John Rahme An audit can be very daunting and scary experience, bringing in an unfamiliar face and a stranger to give you advice on where your business has been and is gone wrong. It’s hard not to be offended by suggestions that the auditor makes as it suggests to you that you are not capable of managing your own business. What if we change the word business in the above paragraph and change it to TRAINING or LIFE. Now this becomes a lot harder to comprehend to me … [Read more...] about Clean start-Audit time

Whether it is power lifting, … [Read more...] about Training Plan

Ashley Jones Fitness Trainer  Crusaders - Super 12 Canterbury - NPC (New Zealand Domestic Competition) "WARRIOR PRINCESS" It annoys me when I see personal trainers telling female trainees to do 15-25 reps to "shape" and "tone" the buttocks or other body parts. Having them use broomsticks for bars and tooth picks with olives for dumbbells is an insult to their strength potential. I train a woman, Cathy, who has developed great strength by applying time honoured principles of intensity, hard work … [Read more...] about Warrior Princess

back supports, powerlifting belt, weightlifting belt

The most common questions we have in the Getstrength store with regards to weight training belts are "Do I need a Weightlifting Belt or Powerlifting Belt?" and "what is the difference?" ....... Let's start with by explaining the difference:   As you see in the picture above, the main difference is the tongue, the tongue on the Powerlifting Belt is 100 mm and the belt is the same width over the entire belt. The Weightlifting Belt has a tongue width of 60 mm, and a back brace of 100 mm. The … [Read more...] about What do I need? Weightlifting Belt or Powerlifting Belt

“You cannot force change, but change must be forced” “What do you plan and intend on doing for yourself and for the team to ensure a good outcome for the game this week?” I asked. “Yeah, Nah,….I’m hoping that I can get out there and try to give it my best, you know,…… do my best I guess, that’s well,…. you know,….. What I’m looking to do.” If I asked you, if you thought or believed that this above statement sounded like it came from someone that was overly confident and raring to play, what … [Read more...] about THE GOOD AND THE GETTING BETTER.
